Paris train track
Sky, and a little bit of hedgerow at the base of the photo, from Northwest Essex. Buildings and train track photographed from the window of a Eurostar carriage, heading back to the UK.
Chilling channel tunnel fact:
"The [refrigeration]plants provide nearly 15,000 tons of refrigeration -- comparable to about 260,000 home refrigerators [to cool the channel tunnel]." Click here for full story in the 'Amazing projects' website.

on Dunwich beach
Great boat, I am sure though that this is one of thousands of similar photographs of it. Whilst we were there I saw several people take pictures.

London boat trip
We recently travelled by boat from Tillbury to Greenwich . I was interested to hear the guide say that the 'Pluto Pipe' (see this ) was made in a factory he pointed out, on the Gravesend side. I think he said the factory was ' A I Henley's', I saw a section of the pipe at the excellent D Day museum in Portsmouth (here) .

At the time I was trying to photograph the lettering
'Franklin D. Roosevelt', in the station of that name, when another train came in and blocked the view. Other sign writing in here see this ealier entry.

you lose
Fun of the fair.
A lot of people were winning inflatable hammers, which they hit their mates with.

ghost spot 5
This is the stretch of road where I saw a ghost, about three years ago. The photograph was taken a year or so later. I only saw the ghost, a figure by the side of the road, the once.
